The most remarkable thing about it is that in order to assemble such a piece, you’d have to listen to W for countless hours. I can’t listen to the man for more than 5 minutes without wanting to slam my head through a plate glass window.
Didn’t U2 play something like this from George HW before their concerts, where he says “We Will Rock You” ?
Not really. The texts for all his major speeches are published at WhiteHouse.gov. Word searches through those texts will go a lot quicker than watching the speeches.
Why?
Maybe because after about five minute he begins to sound like the Monarch in Full Rant Mode.
Yeah, but you still need to go through the footage, cut, “paste” and watch and re-watch to make sure the timing and synchronization with the music is right. For a clip over 3 minutes, that would still take quite a bit of time
Because of his thin reedy voice. Because of his inability to sound spontaneous in prepared speeches and his inability to sound coherent in off-the-cuff remarks. Because of his constant overreliance on the same phrases, cliches, memes, and rhetorical crutches. Because he almost never sounds like he knows what he’s talking about (beyond the talking points prepared by his handlers/minions). Because most every speech, remark, answer, or digression sounds like every other one. But mostly because, personally speaking, I think he’s full of shit most of the time he opens his mouth.
If he was a good public speaker, this last point wouldn’t stop me from listening to him (though it might be bad for my blood pressure). But he’s not. He’s terrible.
Because he so often sounds whiny and defensive, like he’s trying to explain something that is so obvious, and is amazed that you don’t get it: "We’re fighting them over there, so we don’t have to fight them here!"exasperated chuckle
Because it is embarassing and frustrating that the leader of our country does not impress with his intelligence.
Because we’ve heard the same shit for years now, and it has worn thin.
Actually, it look looked the entire thing came from a State of the Union speech. I’m sure they could have dubbed him, but he has on the same suit and tie throughout the entire video.
Good or bad, agree or disagree, he IS our president. He should be listened to.
