bushblackout.com and Pals: What a bunch of losers.

That candidate ain’t going to happen, and the sooner we realize that, the better when can move on and do something. Remember when Kerry stated he’d like to reduce terrorism to when it was a nuisance? I’d like the same with our President. Remember when the big problem was he got his dick sucked in the oval office? That’s the goal here, getting a dude/gal who will hook up a few business buddies, but won’t cross that line of insanity.

Then you’re an exception, not the norm, because most people don’t want to educate themselves on what’s going on around them. How many people still believe Iraq had WMD?

For what it’s worth I think that the right candidate can make it work, that it’s not a pipe dream at all. Unlikely, yes. But these are, after all, my moral values. And cleaving to them is more important than winning elections, to me at least.

I am convinced that sooner or later we’ll get a real statesman to lead us again, and an end to blasted politicians.

So, are you planning on leaving before or after Bush engineers a third term in office? :dubious:

The second paragraph of my previous post stands. If you want my vote, then apply your energies in that direction. If on the other hand, you don’t want my vote, then continue to produce platforms with candidates similar to 2000 and 2004. The outcome will be predictable.

Probably before.

I think the frustration lies in the feeling that if Bush followers were a bit more aware of some facts, we would get their support. Now I understand that they don’t want to come this direction because there are a lot of whiny annoying people they would be placating. But you know what? This is bigger then pride, and bigger then spite. Bush is really fucking some things up right now. We’re talking some major damage that will affect us for decades, or perhaps, damage we’ll never recover from. I can’t imagine what reasons could outweigh getting him, his ilk, and his ideas the fuck out of office.

We’re the less of two evils, and there’s a pretty huge disparity.

The quality of the Republican candidate in no way should preclude you efforts towards putting your best candidate forward. Your feelings are just that. What facts are you going to cite? Stuff the “facts”-I read just as well as you do, and facts coming from any politician or their party are immediately suspect. Give me a platform-a plan-a well conceived plan on what you have identified as problems, why, and what you will do to fix them. You can either attempt, or preconclude that it won’t work and abandon the effort. If you choose the latter, the people like myself who are sitting very close to the fence and waiting for you to show me something good, will again feel abandoned, effectively written off by the Democratic party. Anger can be an excellent motivator, if it doesn’t consume you. You noted in another thread that it’s time to quit Bush-bashing 24/7 and get to work, and I couldn’t agree more. Again, the choice is yours.
