where does one get a business listing. ya’know, like the lists they get of possible customers, their email addresses, corporate HQ’s phone numbers and mailing addresses… anyone have any experience with this? something reliable…
From a business listing cdrom.
Back in the old days there were places called libraries. They had what were called reference books.
Seriously, it has been so long since I had classes, I don’t remember the names. I think it is something like Dun & Bradstreet that listed company adresses, phone numbers, names of officers and, I think board of directors.
Again, call a library and ask for the reference desk. Tell them what company you want information on and they can look it up for you.
Thomas Register is on line [and free] but it may names of people at the company.
Thomas Register, Million Dollar Directory, Hoover’s, and the very hard to find and use Contacts Influential are all sources.
A lot of libraries have a CD-ROM called “American Business Disc” that answers a lot of your questions.
All the companies above have on-line sites.
I’ve put listings in them.
