Business that go together.

I drove past a Window Tinting store yesterday that shared the premises with an Adult Erotica Shop. Seemed kinda apt.

Made me wonder what other kinds of business go together?

Laundomat-liquor store.

Bait shop/hors d’ouevres (shrimp, anchovies, cheese…).

Shoe repair & locksmithing/key making.

I don’t know why, but this is universally true in the US.

Also:

Racehorses & glue rendering.

There is a newly opened retirement home at the corning of Cowhorn Creek and Moore’s Lane. It just opened about two or three months ago.

Construction is almost finished on the new funeral home not 100 yards away on the adjacent plot.

It’s morbid but I can’t help but wonder if they’ve built an underground tunnel connecting them.

A hat trick for Homebrew!

There is an orthopedic surgeon’s office next to a Gold’s gym. Very convienent.

I’ve seen a sandwich shop right next to a weight loss clinic, but the major one was a frozen custard/burger joint (Culver’s, for those who’ve seen them - they make a big deal about putting butter on their burgers) right next to a health club.

My Favorite?

Mexican Restaurant - Weight Watchers - Baskin Robbins

Hmmmmmm, guess which one I walk right past and LAUGH!!

:: glares at cards ::
sigh

I guesss that’s one way to get to 2K by the end of the day.

Oh, I thought of another strange one!
There’s a shopping center near me with, all in a row…a veterinarian, a Chinese food restaraunt, and a pet store.

in my home town there was a butcher/taxidermy/bait shop. Now if those don’t go together I don’t know what does. Rather interesting place as there were all kinds of stuff animals watching you as you made your meat/bait selections.

Down the road from where I live is a Lampshade & Knife shop. I dont know why this struck me as funny but it did.

Seems like all of our local Weight Watchers are next to something rather unfortunate.

One is two doors down from a Winchell’s.

Another is next door to a Mexican restaurant.

Yet another is in the same mini mall as a Godfather’s Pizza.

Thankfully one is next to a Subway, which is at least feasible!

There used to be a store here in town with a large neon sign that proclaimed Vacuum and Shoe Repair", which always struck me as funny. Sadly it closed down. I can’t imagine why, with such a diverse client base.

I’d quote Homebrew, but I think we;ve all read it by now… (Sorry :D)!!

We live across the street from a cemetery. A rather large one, looks more like a park since the tombstones are flat panels rather than actual stnd-up ones.

Anways, a couple of buildings in this row are designated as “Seniros’ Residences”.

We have an evil joke about the catapult on the roof, calibrated with enough force to send a weight six feet under…

I know, I know, I’m going to hell…

Now that would be funnier if I could type. And I DID re-read it…

In order now:
we’ve
stand-up
Anyways
Seniors’

:sigh:

Check Point Charlie’s on Esplanade on the edge of the French Quarter has laundromat attached to it.

A seedy porn emporium, right beside “The Restoration Place”–which actually sells salvaged and reproduction architectural and decorator items.

Different restoratives for different folks, I guess.
