Two guys are shooting the breeze, one asks the other, how come his wife doesn’t give him grief over his expensive golf purchases. To which the fellow lays out his clever plan. Three days later he sends her flowers, the next week he takes her out for a nice dinner, three days later, “and this is key” the velvet box. The bill comes 5 days later and everything’s fine. Then they come on and say “bust him sooner” with on line service, blah, blah, blah…
This is an advert for checking your credit card balances on line.
I find this offensive in too many ways to mention.
Are they really advocating that it’s okay to check up on your spouse by tracking their spending on line?
Though I haven’t seen the ad, it sounds like it might be amusing. If I had a joint credit card with a spouse, I would definitely check periodically to see what he spent. If I was trying to catch him using his credit card at massage parlors and cheap motels, this could indeed be construed as “checking up on him by tracking his spending.” If not, it would just be me trying to find out how much money I’ll be held responsible for paying. How wrong is that?
