We just moved to a new office and I have my trusty radio set up next to me. (The reception in the old place was very poor so I could never use it.)

I have it tuned to the station I want and I am hearing the music, but there is a lot of static and moving the antenna about doesn’t help too much. One thing I have noticed is that when I touch the antenna, the signal comes in crystal clear. I let go of it, and the static comes back.

Why is that?

And is there anyway to reproduce this without having to sit and hold the antenna?:confused:

Are you trying to receive an FM station?
If so you might try a set of portable rabbit ears made for TV.

Yeah, it’s an FM station. A local one too. (Funny how the classical stations come through nice and clear though…)
