Back to irritating behavior, 5 YO grandon will ask a question, and almost invariably interrupt with a “what?” partway through the answer. (Actually, he’ll do this most times someone speaks to him.)

They do grow up. Daughter’s delightful now, we have great fun. She appreciates and remembers what I told her as a child. Son ACTUALLY ADMITTED that he wished Mrs. Jinks-- a disciplinary noodle-- had been harder on him.
