Luckily there hasn’t been any more singing since yesterday. But she has since made up a word (at least I think it’s made up). Yesterday she told me that her dress was ‘condable’ (or howevwer it is spelled). After much interrogation I think now that condable it’s a good thing. (‘Poop is not condable’, but ‘pooping is’).

It’s a perfectly cromulent word.

Double plus ungood. How ‘bout QX, from “Doc” Smith’s Lensman series? “Clicky” from the Flash Gordon comic strip. "Leapin’ Lizards"? The mind boggles.

Back to irritating behavior, 5 YO grandon will ask a question, and almost invariably interrupt with a “what?” partway through the answer. (Actually, he’ll do this most times someone speaks to him.)

They do grow up. Daughter’s delightful now, we have great fun. She appreciates and remembers what I told her as a child. Son ACTUALLY ADMITTED that he wished Mrs. Jinks-- a disciplinary noodle-- had been harder on him.
