But then I lucked out.

So, as you know from this thread I mushed my hand. I also wore my favorite pair of Abercrombie & Fitch khaki shorts while working on my car today. Ruined. My ISP has been down since earlier this week. And I can’t find my NetZero software for NOTHIN. So I pick up a copy of Juno. Only problem is, the number for it is long distance on our ISP phone line. So I gotta wait until after 10 pm so I can use our standard phone line. I try to get on. And I try. And I try. And I try. And it keeps cutting me off.

Finally, I get on. I surf a while, then Juno starts crashing. Error after error. Everything’s going haywire. The ad bar crashes. The mail program crashes. The GUI crashes. But then I luck out. After the dust settles, everything’s dead and gone. Except the connection. The 44kbps connection. It’s been solid for about 4 hours now. Oh. Yes. This comes this close ::holds fingers really close together:: to making up for me ruining my fav pants.

I’m so sorry. You poor baby! I feel your pain. Juno SUCKS *$^%&

Let’s see here. You fucked up your favorite shorts? That’ll teach you to let mommy dress you. When you get to be a big boy and learn to dress yourself, you can wear old clothes if you choose.

And as far a Juno and NetZero, all I gotta say is, you get what you pay for. Spend the 20 bucks and get a real ISP.

So in the States…

To “Luck out” means to actually have luck?

yeah, and “slow up” and “slow down” mean the same thing.

Thanks for the encouragement, UncleBeer. You are truly a scholar and a gentleman.

And if you’ll be so kind as to notice, my ISP has been down for about a week. That’s why I was using Juno.
