Butt-Hurt Trump Takes to Twitter Again (Part 1)

Tell me I’m not the only one experiencing cognitive dissonance surrounding Lindsay Graham. I’ve always despised that guy (not nearly as much as McConnell, though), but is it possible he has a little bit of integrity? As much as I’ve hated establishment Republicanism, it’s this old guard that seems to be the only voice of reason, albeit quiet and inconsistent, left in the Senate with regard to legislating with some vague semblance of respect for the process and each other as professionals. Watch McCain’s 60 Minutes interview with Leslie Stahl. It’s hard not to like the guy, not just because he’s got a deadly cancer. I’m glad he’s sticking to his principles.

Well put.

Trump blaming PR for the mess they are in, especially compared to TX and FL. I’d link to the tweets, but, frankly, don’t want to.

On the bright side most of Puerto Rico is without power do the locals won’t have to read them either.

And if anyone kniws how to avoid paying billions if dollarz of debt its Donnie.

I freaking KNEW he was going to do something like this. Because Orange Tweeto is an unabashed racist. He takes a default position that white people are good people until proven otherwise and brown people are bad until proven otherwise. Can you imagine him tweeting about how Houston’s “build anything you want wherever you want” development philosophies contributed to their problems?

And probably one of the prime time Troglodytes on Faux News was bloviating about how responsible white people would’ve built themselves a storm-proof island and emerged unscathed and why should we pick up the tab for saving them from their own negligence , or something of that nature.

But the scariest theory is that maybe he sees that we are on the brink of an enormous humanitarian crisis and he’s trying to shift blame. And unfortunately I sense the beginnings of a controversy over how much aid they should get. Because Faux is running crap blaming PR for their own problems and CNN and MSNBC spend most of their airtime reminding viewers that, as the song says “Puerto Rico’s in America”. I’m seeing coverage about the crisis affecting US citizens in the American city of San Juan on the American island of Puerto Rico, Yes, US citizens that spend their days flying the American flag and being American are facing a looming humanitarian crisis on American soil. It’s kind of annoying because it detracts from the coverage which is still skimpy, probably because reporters are having a lot difficulties keeping in touch. But their intentions are good.

Sorry, late night ramble but those tweets pissed me off.

What awful things to say. Isn’t there someone who’s been keeping track of the truly crass things he says and does? It’s not just his politics (whatever they are beyond ‘enrich self’), it’s his soul. He simply lacks compassion. He’s a misanthrope. He’s a sociopath.:frowning:

I disagree that he can change his mind after proof. He’s not even good at pretending to.

I actually went to Trump’s twitter feed to see what he said about PR, and came across this one:

Which made me picture somebody in a voting booth with a needle and a spoon.

My favorite Trump tweet of all happened yesterday.

One of my subordinates agrees with me!! Totally! I must be right, right?

What a fucking needy child.

What’s the first rule of working for a fucking lunatic? Nod and smile, nod and smile.

I don’t think our country should be disrespecting actual people and I think if those people want to call that out, they have every right to.

If the country wants to be shown respect by it’s citizens, it should show respect to those citizens. And our country has not been showing the proper amount of respect for some of it’s citizens, and they’d like that disrespect to stop, is what they’re saying.

Respect is a two way street.

Trump and the GOP just lost, again, on Obamacare repeal. Expect a twitstorm to hit soon…

Well, there’sthis website, though it encompasses more than just our god-emperor’s tweetstorms.

I’d love to debate this, but this ain’t the thread.

Also, er, Trump sucks!

From an interview with the Puerto Rico’s governor:

JOHN YANG: Governor, are you getting all the aid you need or getting it fast enough from the states?

GOV. RICARDO ROSSELLO: First of all, we are very grateful for the administration. They have responded quickly.

The president has been very attentive to the situation, personally calling me several times. FEMA and the FEMA director have been here in Puerto Rico twice. As a matter of fact, they were here with us today, making sure that all the resources in FEMA were working in conjunction with the central government. We have been working together.

We have been getting results. The magnitude of this catastrophe is enormous. This is going to take a lot of help, a lot of collaboration. So, my call is to congressmen and congresswomen to take action quickly and conclusively with an aid package for Puerto Rico.

Got a link, Stoogie?

ETA: the Puerto Rico. Good one. Where you from, anyway?

Nice link, asshole. Link.
How can they be getting aid when he’s calling for Congress to pass an aid package?

How about some further quotes?

Looks like sucking up to Trump doesn’t work when your citizens can’t vote.

And there’s this from yesterday afternoon.

Russia.

Here’s a quote from a site that isn’t a conservative blog:

Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rosselló in a Tuesday morning interview said the island needs additional help in the wake of Hurricane Maria, urging Congress to pass an aid package.

“This has been an unprecedented disaster, not only for Puerto Rico, but for all of the region,” Rosselló told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

“We need more help. We need more help with resources. We need more help with people being deployed so that we can get logistical support elsewhere,” Rosselló continued.

“And we need Congress to take action so we can have an aid package that is real for the American citizens that live in Puerto Rico and that is flexible so that we can take immediate action.”

Sounds like just a phone call from el Trumpo isn’t cutting it. They need real help,.

THE governor. Of Puerto Rico.
