Just so we’re clear, Trump is acknowledging that even the Republicans that he appointed think that he is guilty.
The FBI certainly has changed. First noticed when watching The Usual Suspects. Had a character, a black guy from the FBI. Had a cute little goatee and dressed like a be-bop jazz fan from the late Fifties, heading out to score some benzedrine and find out if Bird was dead yet.
I thought to myself “Wow! The FBI sure has changed! Even different from the FBI that wiped out the KKK in Mississippi.” (Saw the documentary.)
This might be the dumbest tweet of his yet, and he’s already had some doozies. But yeah, he’s basically saying that his own hires have politicized the investigative process. Whether he meant it, whether he realizes that this is what he’s saying, is a completely different matter.
We’re dealing with 3 levels of reality, 2 of which are complete bullshit.
Level 1: actual reality. The FBI is populated primarily with dedicated professionals, who may hold political opinions which don’t impact the performance of their duties.
Level 2: Trumpian reality. No matter who is appointed to FBI leadership, they are immediately tainted by the bias and corruption that began during the Obama administration.
Level 3: The Upside Down. Throw enough mud at the FBI and the DOJ (ignoring actual or Trumpian reality) and maybe enough will stick and some will splatter onto Mueller and I might just get out of this mess.
I wish Mueller would release an official statement saying that Turmp himself is indeed the subject of a criminal investigation.
Attempting to humiliate the FBI is going to work out well for Trump.
His level of tactical sophistication is, “They’re trying to scare the shit outta me, but the joke’s on them – that just gives me more ammo to throw!”
If all he wants is a casus belli to purge the FBI and DOJ of anybody who is disloyal to him personally, it may work just fine for him.

He, and more importantly the country and his supporters need to see him impeached and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. It’s the only way we have to hope that this kind of shit doesn’t happen again.
Trump is a problem, but not THE problem. THE problem is the transformation of the Republican party into the Plutocratic party. It’s the party of the billionaire class, and when you focus on that, it makes sense. It kinda makes sense that Republicans are covering for their president, but only to a point. What’s transpiring now makes more sense is when you realize that the Republicans are no longer a mainstream party of limited government, of law enforcement, and of strong national defense. They’re perfectly willing to extend the hand of government right up everyone’s asses, depending on the issue. By contrast, however, they’re not the party of law enforcement and national defense, as they’ve corrupted the former and jeopardized the latter. Trump is the perfect useful tool for the billionaire class, just as he’s the useful tool for Vladimir Putin.
But regardless of what happens to Trump, we’re focusing on the wrong subject. The ugly reality is that the insanity will continue until there is a popular revolt that limits the power of the billionaire class, who have too much power in our society. Our current situation is a byproduct of letting the “job creators” off the tax hook, and deregulating society to the point where private power now rivals and potentially overwhelms public, institutional power. This is why a democratic society is wise to have economic policies that make it difficult for too much money to pool at the top of the economic food chain. The billionaire class now has a majority political party tucked away in their pocket, and their proxies will do exactly as they are told, or they will find themselves out of a job and possibly out of a career. What they’re being told now is to deconstruct the federal government so that it’s a shell of what we’ve grown up with. And they’re succeeding.
But right after the conviction, a near fatal aneurysm, right? Just so he is forced to suffer the humiliation while broken in spirit and body.
Nah. Would be another excuse by his supporters that he was suffering all the while in office, but did a ‘great job, just not enough’.
If you want to dream… Melania and her lawyers find a infidelity clause in the pre-nup and gets half of everything that is left after the fines, and re-payments to all those that trump has swindled.
If trump ever flies again, it will be in coach.
All we need is a fake birth certificate saying Vicente was Born in the USA. We can get it from that place that produced Obama’s fake Hawaiian birth certificate.
