Watergate was when some haters and losers and the Fake News were very unfair to the president, who they are supposed to be bigly loyal to.

When I first saw the “Obama FBI spied on Trump” tweet (bigger than Watergate!) I thought he was talking about some clandestine operation, where Obama had an FBI agent sign up to stuff envelopes and feed inside info to Hillary. That would be silly.
It turns out that Trump isn’t entirely deranged (well, he is, but you know what I mean…) He means: the FBI investigation into Russian influence on his campaign included someone on his campaign staff who was also an FBI informant. This is not shocking to anyone outside the Trump orbit. But his toadies are demanding! that the informant be named, so they can presumably hang him from a lamppost.
I fail to see how the FBI seeing the need to investigate the Trump campaign is a scandal for Obama, but I’m weird I guess.
With every passing day I become more convinced than ever that Rudy Giuliani is criminally insane. If the FBI plants an informant in your organization, it is because it is a criminal enterprise. Dumb Donald and his batshit fan posse may see it as proof of the deep state conspiracy against him, but anyone not requiring anti-psychotic meds isn’t going to see it that way.
And as I understand it, the FBI didn’t “plant” someone there. He or she was already there, planted by the campaign.
Well, if the FBI inserted a mole in the Trump campaign and fed their information to the Clinton campaign for political advantage, that would certainly be a scandal. That’s presumably what the Breitbart types are at least pretending they think happened, to obfuscate the truth.
This is true for a certain number of toadies.
But the toadies who at least can think and have 1 and a half brain cells to rub together probably really want the name so they can figure out how screwed they are.
Because if nothing else, this whole affair has shown us that the Trump Campaign was a bunch of Losers and Criminals who did nothing but commit crimes all day long. And then talk about those crimes. And in some cases, tweet about them.
But if they’re publicly tweeting about some, I’m sure they talked and talked and talked about others. And now they want to know who was listening.
