Isn’t that how it works? Only Republicans can impeach Republicans and only Republicans can impeach Democrats.
Considering how many people I know who either vote for Can’t Be Arsed or for whomever is yelling loudest, I very much appreciate your votes.
Interesting that it doesn’t occur to you to make the same appeal to Republicans…
Sam knows that ship has sailed and fallen off the edge of the flat Earth.
With the state GOP parties in several states shutting down the primaries? Good luck with appealing to the better Republican angels.
When looking for better angels it helps if you don’t start your search in Hell.
Oh, I don’t know, William Weld might make a somewhat acceptable POTUS.
Hell, I’d take the Appalachian Trail Tango Fucker over what we got now.
I’d be tempted to take President Snow: at least he was ethically consistent. Or, as The Minotaur’s Song puts it:Straight from the shoulder
I think like a soldier
I know what’s right and what’s wrong
(He knows what’s right and what’s wrong)
I’m the original discriminating buffalo man
And I’ll do what’s wrong as long as I can
(He’ll do what’s wrong as long as he can)
"From the day I announced I was running for President, I have NEVER had a good @FoxNews Poll. Whoever their Pollster is, they suck. "
Citing another message board poster, whose own citation doesn’t support his claim? That’s not civilized.
First comment there:
“You suck, fuckface.”
LOL
So We The People are (finally!) turning against him, and his attitude is ‘Oh well, I’m President!’?
Huh? Trump is going to be the Republican nominee. I don’t see a way around that, unless there is a brokered convention or something.
Of course I would like to see the Republicans put up someone else, but it isn’t going to happen unless Trump is impeached. Maybe a credible 3rd party candidate will run.
As for who on the Democratic side I would consider better: Biden, Buttigieg, Tulsi Gabbard, maybe a couple of others. Certainly not Sanders and Warren - both of them have policy positions that come straight from crazy town, and which would wreck the economy.
Like what? Universal healthcare?
That’s just crazy talk. It’s not possible for any country in the world to have UHC. Just can’t be done. Also, Death Panels!
Including the one Sam is posting from…never happen, right?
I mean, all the devils did use to be angels ; and you gotta believe at least some of them, after aeons of listening to the same Satan self-righteous rant over and over again in between rounds of filling some dead guy’s anus with stinging beetles, at least some of them must think to themselves “Is this it ? Was it really worth it ? Man, I kinda miss playing the harp. I had *almost *figured out that one-handed tapping arpeggio too…”
National rent control, shutting down all fracking and offshore drilling on her first day in office, breaking up the big tech companies, national $15 minimum wage, green new deal, forgiving all student loans, free college for all, a wealth tax, universal child care for all, massive ‘investment’ in government housing, forcing big corporations to give 40% of their board seats to employee representatives, creating government-run drug companies, Oh, and lots and lots of new regulations in all areas of the economy.
Medicare-for-all will be a disaster, but it’s one of the lesser of her crazy ideas. Breaking up Apple, Google, Amazon and facebook would be devastating to the economy of California and would be a gift to foreign tech companies like HTC and Huawei. The disruption to the internet would be massive, as almost everyone now uses Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure for their back-end cloud connections.
Banning fracking will instantly remove 67% of gas production and 43% of oil production in the U.S. Say goodbye to hundreds of billions in revenue, just as all those new expensive programs need it most. Fracking has driven down the cost of natural gas, leading to widespread use and resulting in the U.S. being the only country to meet the Paris climate change targets. Get rid of fracking, and the U.S. will have to import more gas, and burn more coal. Under her plan, short term carbon emissions would go up substantially as they did in Germany when they shut down nuclear and began buying energy from other, dirtier countries to make up the shortfall.
Also, Warren is against all nuclear power, so she and Sanders are the biggest threats to doing anything meaningful about climate change.
She’s also a serious authoritarian. Her Consumer Finance Protection Agency was specifically set up (by her) to be unaccountable to congress.
If Warren actually did half of what she is promising to do, she’d do severe damage to the economy.
Her wealth tax will cause the biggest capital flight you’ve ever seen.
As for Bernie, he is Elizabeth Warren with a greater love for autocrats and formal socialism.
