Butt-Hurt Trump Takes to Twitter Again (Part 1)

Here’s an idea–let’s pick a new mountain to deface and put the 4 worst presidents on it. Trump can be on that one.

Hopefully not twice. :wince:

There are a number of “Mount Trashmores” across America to choose from.

There’s a meme image going around of Mt. Rushmore, but with images of cosby, weinstein, trump and epstein, called Mt. Rapemore.

And then after it is finished we could all get together and pul it down And make him watch!

All praise to Pauley Teeks! I just added the title:

How about Stone Mountain with other Confederates? There is space on the rump of Lee’s horse. Facing backward but that seems appropriate?

Big Ten votes to cancel games.

The juxtaposition of those two stories really shows just how irrelevant Trump actually is. He tweets, and he rants, and he undoes everything Obama did. But he’s not actually accomplishing anything (including progress on covid relief). He’s…dare I say it … impotent.

If the whole country would just fucking learn to do the opposite of what Trump said with respect to the virus we could be out of this hole in 6-8 weeks.

The Big 10 and the universities have to do what they have to do, and I won’t criticize them. However, our mishandling of this coronavirus is ruining these kids’ lives – missing a year of playing will seriously jeopardize lots of sports careers.

How so? Potential employers are in the same boat. It’s not like they’ll turn down a star running back because his conference canceled the season.

Because it’s a year of training, play, and development that the students won’t get. Seniors who would have had a breakout year are going to miss out. Maybe the NCAA will give them an extra year of eligibility, but now you have twice as many students competing that year. Plus, football players have short careers anyway – missing out on a year of playing time is a substantial hit to their whole career.

Well, it they’re sick or dead, that will definitely impact their careers. :face_with_raised_eyebrow: Or if they infect family members who die. Or if they get sick and recover, but have debilitating lingering effects…

Any way you look at it, this pandemic is fucking up people’s lives and careers. And it will continue to do so for probably the next year, even more so if people insist on “bidness as usual” and act like minimizing it will in fact, minimize it. It won’t. This is a life & death situation. Why aren’t people grokking that??

It looks like you’re arguing with me, but I agree with you on all those points. I was bemoaning the fact that the way we mishandled this is causing needless pain and suffering, including probably destroying some number of football playing careers.

It’s not as bad as dying or lots of other terrible thing, but it’s directly related to the cancellation of the season, so was relevant to the post I responded to.

Anyway, back to the subject of this thread, did you know that the Spanish Flu epidemic caused WW II to end? People who say that Biden is losing it for saying something nonsensical in the flow of conversation should really read what Trump posts, when he’s had time to “think” and re-write.

I know. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to jump all over your face. Everything of value and worth is getting totally fucked up by this pandemic. Everywhere you turn, something you loved is cancelled, put off indefinitely, or has tried (in vain) to move to Zoom. I sat this morning at 4 am and cried bitter tears over the upheaval. And I’M still okay and healthy-- but 99% locked down. I’ve ONLY lost two people to COVID death. Forgiven?

BEEP! Sorry, penalty for using think in the same sentence with trump, however, punishment suspended for putting the word in quotation marks. The punishment would have been horrible-- duct-taped to a chair, your eyelids propped open with toothpicks, and forced to watch a repeating loop of his so-called press conferences. With the volume turned waaaay up. I know. I used to work at one of those secret CIA camps. If we had had trump’s pressers, we wouldn’t have needed waterboarding.

I can only listen to him speak if it’s coming out of Sarah Cooper’s mouth.

I guess this is as good a place as any to highlight this exchange from yesterday’s presser:

Jonathan Lamire (AP):

Thank you, Mr. President. In Ohio, a few days ago, you said, and I’ll quote, “Joe Biden has hurt God, he’s against God.” The Vice President has said that he’s a man of deep Catholic faith, that he’s credited for helping him endure some immense personal tragedy. So what did you mean by that when you say that Joe Biden has hurt God or is against God?

President Trump:

Well, if you look at the manifesto that they’ve come up with, and if you look at their stance on religion and things having to do very importantly with aspects of religion and faith, I don’t think a man of deep religion would be agreeing to the Bernie Sanders plan. You take a look at what they have in, and you can’t put that into the realm of a religious group of people. I will say that. And I think it’s one of the reasons why, if you look at polls, which I’m not a big believer in polls. If I was, I guess I wouldn’t be standing here right now. And by the way, our poll numbers are going up very rapidly, as you know. And Joe’s are going down very rapidly. He’ll have to come out of the basement, it looks like pretty soon. Because it’s one of those things.

But no, if you look at the manifesto. I call it the manifesto, a lot of people are calling it the manifesto. My opinion is further left than where Bernie was before. So normally he’d be left and you’d bring it somewhere a little bit toward the center. But some of the things that they have down there, and I’m not only talking in terms of religion, I’m not talking even in terms of religion. But some of the things they have in the agreement made, and this wasn’t agreement made by Bernie Sanders and Joe, it’s a terrible thing. It would be a terrible thing for our country. It will destroy our country. We will go into a depression. We will put on regulation. We will double and triple taxes. It will be terrible for healthcare. Just terrible. You’ll have 180 million people lose their healthcare. It will be a terrible, terrible thing for our country. Okay. Yeah, please. Yeah.

Jeepers. Word salad? more like word hash. Word gumbo.

Seriously! Do you want Ranch or Thousand Island with that??

BTW, the beginning and ending quote tags [quote] and [/quote] have to go on separate lines for the passage to format as a quotation.

A few weeks back. Sam Stone posted something that Biden said, which was pretty word-salad-y, and claimed it showed he was losing it. I wonder what he would think of the above.
