We can follow both on the same thread. I can’t bear to watch Trump, so I’ll be keeping an eye on what Biden says.
People are understandably angry that Trump gets more free press, but I’ve always seen this as a referendum on Trump anyhow. I don’t think it hurts Biden that he’s being upstaged by Trump. The truth is, Biden could appear on all tv channels all by himself and people would still pay more attention to Trump’s twitter feed. Being an attention whore and being the center of attention isn’t Biden’s strength. It’s just not being Trump.
I knew I couldn’t take more than a few minutes of The Donald’s voice, but I tuned in … and saw him LOSING a solo debate!
Savannah Guthrie was holding his feet to the fire by making him answer simple questions, like: “Did you get tested the day of the debate?”
Trump equivicated, deflected, said “I get tested a lot, the docs say here’s a test, I say ok, so I get a lot of tests.” “But did you get tested the day of the debate?” blah blah blah… “But you don’t know if you get tested that day?” “How should I know what day I got tested? But I get tested a lot and I was doing great during the debate!”
He looked like a kid caught lying. I turned it off with “What. An. Idiot.”
Biden is doing great. Trump gave him a massive gift by dropping out of the traditional town hall-style debate.
Trump is getting ready to set himself on fire again.
Channeling my Trump: “As I thought, Sleazy Steve Scully SLANDERED Republicans and MAGA supporters by claiming twitter account was hacked! Total scam and lie! Tried to rig the debate for his buddy Burisma Joe!”
I am praying that Trump has a complete and total meltdown, and starts raving about the shape-shifting lizard people.
