I guess that is even more confusing. Why even tweet about runways being easy to repair then? It sounds to me like we DID hit them, no thanks the aiming people, and the reason they are back in operation is that they are easy to fix.

I think Trumpy is actually saying we missed on purpose, because there was no point in hitting them because they are so darned easy to fix.
The reality is that we may have missed on purpose, we may have missed accidentally, who knows?

On a grand gesture, which is ultimately meaningless - yes. The parties involved were warned in sufficient time to bug out, with equipment. The base is already back in use.

I also noted that two of the Syrians killed in this Tomahawk raid were actually children - yes, the same “beautiful, beautiful babies” and “children of God” that Trump railed against Assad killing. I realize war makes hypocrites of nearly all of us, but jeez Louise, this administration is drowning in a twenty-foot deep pool of hypocrisy.

Trump somehow saw all the footage of planes taking off and landing from the subject airport. The mystery wrapped in an enigma is how he saw it-Fox News generally avoids broadcasting anything that conflicts with Trump’s worldview and I don’t think Trump watches any other news channels. Some of Fox’s afternoon guys aren’t that bad - I sometimes channel-surf over to see what craziness they are pushing and I landed on Shepard Smith and for a few minutes I actually forgot that I wasn’t watching CNN.
Our maybe that troll Bannon managed to slip it in a briefing packet just to poke him.
But I bet Trump saw that the airfield was operational and went ballistic about not winning and looking weak and bad sad air strike and Americas not looking so great and no one could make him listen, so they dial 1 on the speed dial to summon his daughter-wife to fulfill her new unofficial duties as The Trump-Whisperer. (like this woman really wants to spend the next four years babysitting her crazy daddy)
So Ivanka manages to calm him down and deliver the explanation about runways not being effective targets which sort of calms him down. But he’s still worried about what people think about his air strike because he’s a thin skinned short fingered spray-tanned baby. So he had to take to Twitter to prove to his base that the had the best air strike ever and make sure they know that it would have been stupid to hit the runway.
I just read an article about Ivanka. She appeared in a documentary called Born Rich, and she apparently just seems to think of herself as normal. And the article related a story from her book, in which she and her brothers had a lemonade stand at the summer house, and they got the servants to “dig deep for pocket change” and that was the kids being resourceful and making the best of the situation - lacking the advantage of an ordinary street, they just got the servants to pay for lemonade!
Trump apparently thinks that Jon Ossoff not getting 50% means he lost. And he’s calling it a loss for the Democrats.

Well, yes and no. It’s certainly not a loss, but it wasn’t an outright victory, either – it was Republicans 52%, Democrats 48%. How this portends for the run-off remains to be seen.
