I’m throwing away a crappy DVD player in the same box I bought it in (because I don’t take out the non-smelly trash enough). It lasted less than a month and a half. Am I seeking to follow through with any warranty action? No.
It was a $40 DVD player, what did I expect? Do I want to get a new DVD player that will last me that long? No.
I’m just gonna have to pony up and actually buy something good, and stop being a cheap bastard.
I buy $5 wrist watches. Got a beautiful one at Big Lots a couple of weeks ago. It’ll cost me nearly twice that to replace the battery when the time comes.
My crappy DVD player has lasted way longer than I expected – about 4 years and counting. I think it was around $50, but was nearly free after the rebate. It’s an Apex, FWIW.
Anyway, I still buy most of my shoes at Payless. I know they won’t last long, and I just don’t care.
Went to the Sunglass hut in our area mall recently after getting contacts. I tried some on and looked the prices… $250 was the average price for one pair. Told them I would think about it, walked about 100 feet and found 2 for $15.
They’re not polarized, and they don’t say Rayban or Oakley on them, but they’re 2 for $15!
