How would this work? AFAIK Germany and the UK use slightly different TV formats, is this a matter of purchasing a simple adaptor to use it on a British TV set? Can I assume that the issue of power is addressed by a simple adaptor?
A friend of mine is looking at a Wii for cheap on Ebay, he was wondering was it worth bidding.
I bought one from amazon.de. You need to fit a UK plug or adapter (not a shaver adapter, it needs 3 amps), and the Wii Sports printed instructions and case insert are in German, but apart from that it’s identical to the UK model.
The differences in PAL between Germany and the UK only matter when the TV signal is modulated over the airwaves. Connecting to a UK PAL TV through composite or SCART works fine.
Other than having to call it a “Vii”, you should have no problem.
