Buying a piano. Any caveats?

In addition, I spoke to my old piano teacher, and was told that of all the places in the area they’re the most trustworthy. I did check other places around the area, and this was the best piano at the price range; the others asking about the same had a few non-functional keys, unpleasant action, major cosmetic issues, or other issues.

As far as delivery, it’s going straight through one of my front porch doors into my living room. No corners to turn, only 3 steps up. Should be a breeze!

From the Three Stooges?

Seriously though, my wife and I have been toying with the idea of buying a piano for a few years. (We have an old upright that she inherited years ago and is in such bad shape that it can’t even be tuned properly.) Since neither of us is very knowledgeable about pianos, that book might be worth checking out.
