Buzz Aldrin Raps for Apollo 11 Anniversary

Will Ferrell’s FunnyOrDie has today unveiled a new video marking the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11: Rocket Experience, a rap song performed by Buzz Aldrin commenting on his trip. The site also features a comedic making-of video with special appearance by Snoop Dogg, Talib Kweli, Quincy Jones, and Soulja Boy Tell 'Em. Proceeds from the single on iTunes will go to Aldrin’s ShareSpace Foundation. Aldrin also has a new autobiography out.

OK, that was absolutely hilarious. “Doc Rendezvous”?

I think that was his nickname at NASA. He did studies, perhaps a Master’s thesis on orbital rendezvous. The Gemini program used his stuff.
He mentioned in a biography that it was easy to pick up women. He would point at the full moon and say, “See that? I’ve been there.”

I should certainly hope so! The day that a man who’s walked on the moon can no longer pick up women, is the day I give up hope for the human race.

Or it’s 2209 and it’s now a regular vacation spot for executives
There is a symmetry in a collaboration between spaceman Buzz Aldrin and spaced man Snoop Dogg. And you gotta love a guy who has accomplished such things and still doesn’t take himself more seriously than he has to.
