Buzz nails a insane moon-moron. Yeah!

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Dope! (Oh, how I wish there was a way to do a “red hot alert” post!) If you haven’t been to cnn.com, I suggest you take a look at this lovely story!

and

Yeah, baby, yeah! So not only, will the fuckwit have to explain how a private corporation is able to find pictures of the stuff we left behind, which shouldn’t be there at all, but Richard fuckin’ Hoagland is gonna have to explain how the nearly bankrupt Gap corporation ordered it’s slave laboring Old Navy minions to the Moon to remove the alien artifacts which were so “prominantly” visible in the Apollo photographs before the privately funded spacecraft could arrive! Ya know, it’s not too often that you get to kill two assholes with the same stone!

Re: Trailblazer

I have this sneaking suspicion that they’ll find some way to explain away any evidence to the contrary, so they can continue believing their asinine delusions. These are not rational people.

Dear god, what an ASSHOLE. He should have used a crowbar.

Aldrin should testify that the incident (his slugging Sirbel) never happened. He should say he never hit Sirbel and was nowhere near the Beverly Hills hotel where the slugging allegedly occurred and the whole incident was created with special effects on a soundstage in Tennessee to help improve FOX’s ratings and promote Sirbel’s movie.

Then people can hound Sirbel jabbing microphones and bibles in his face asking him why he faked that whole thing. It might help him understand reality…but I doubt it.

The sad part of the whole incident (other than the obvious one of assholes bothering real American heros) is that it is now “news” and anyone can use it. Watch, Sirbel will include it in one of his films in such a way that he is being assaulted by Aldrin because Sirbel was trying to get the “truth” out.

TV

Pete Conrad and Alan Shepard are the other two.

Of the 24 men that have flown to the moon, 18 are still alive. Of the 12 who’ve actually walked on the moon, 9 are still alive. They’re holding up pretty well, considering they’re all in their 70’s now. Heck, Conrad didn’t die from illness, he crashed his motorcycle (at the age of 69 :)).

The Astronaut Assault Hoax

In all likelyhood there will be no trial. The judge will dismiss on grounds of provocation, or in a more literary sense, “Fightin’ Words”.

rowrrbazzle, that article is priceless especially since it’s on Fox News’s site!

I don’t know if many people here have personally witnessed an “ambush interview”, but they are a bit scary. All of a sudden people you may or may not have ever seen before are running up to you, right in your face and personal space. Often there are several camera people/sound people/other morons who press you from behind. Sometimes they come into physical contact with you suddenly, jabbing a microphone or prop into you “on accident”, or pressing into you from behind. And everyone is in your face, screaming questions and really crude and disgusting epithets (you don’t see that on the tapes, obviously). They do it to try and create fear, to throw you off balance, and to try to get you to “slip up” on film.

I saw one happen outside a conference. It was scary - I thought the person being ambushed was being assaulted at first. In the first half-second or so I started looking for improvised weapons to try and render assistance…

Given my typically irrational and violent response to being suddenly scared and pressured like that under any circumstances, if I was “ambushed” and didn’t fully realize what was happening, the results would be…unpleasant.

This jerk was lucky he only got an emergency beatdown.

Minor quibble; I’m not sure where the 24 figure comes from, but if you’re going to count the command module pilots as men who “have flown to the moon” (but not actually set foot on it) you should throw in the crews of Apollo 7,8,9,10 and 13, all of who orbitted the moon but didn’t land on it. With a three-man crew for each mission 7-17, we have 33 lunar astronauts, though the actual figure is 29 since four men went twice (Jim Lovell on A8 and A13; David Scott on A9 and A15; John Young on A10 and A16 and Gene Cernan on A10 and A17).

So if that means 29 men (at least 9 of whom are already dead), the U.S. could easily empower the survivors as a small jerk-punching squad and have minimal (though satisfying) effect on national civil liberties.

I am suddenly reminded of Robert Smigel’s X-Presidents cartoons on SNL. “While passing through the Van Allen belt on a rountine trip to the moon, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Jim Lovell were bombarded by UNEARTHLY radiation…”
(Yes, I’m aware that Neil, Buzz, and Jim were never on the same mission together. Poetic liscense, plus they were the first three Apollo astronauts I could think up off the top of my head.)

I read a snippet that Aldrin supposedly said “this one’s for you, Mr. Gorsky!” as he hit the SOB. Don’t know if it’s true.

Well here’s a little bit of justice. On September 12 someone bought the domain name www.bartsibrel.com and turned into a page that basically shows him for the ass that he is. Heh. I wonder how many HB’s are gonna plug that name into google or whatever and come across that page.

[sub]Thanks to the BA for supplying this link on his site.[/sub]

Apollo 7 and 9 didn’t fly to the moon. 7 was the first manned flight of the Saturn V and stayed in Earth orbit. So did 9, which was the first manned flight for the lunar module.

You’re correct that there were nine missions that went to the moon, but three men flew twice:

8 - Borman, Lovell, Anders
10 - Stafford, Young, Cernan
11 - Armstrong, Aldrin, Collins
12 - Conrad, Bean, Gordon
13 - Lovell, Swigert, Haise
14 - Shepard, Mitchell, Roosa
15 - Scott, Irwin, Worden
16 - Young, Duke, Mattingly
17 - Cernan, Schmidt, Evans

No Charges to Be Filed Against Buzz!!! That’s right! Buzz got’s no worries!

  :stuck_out_tongue:

:wally

I saw that. Good for the DA. They pretty much realized that no jury would convict given what the Sirbel goatfucker had done to provke the situation.

Sirbel was whining to anyone who would listen that they weren’t prosecuting Aldrin becuase he was a “celebrity”. Sorry scamboy, they didn’t prosecute becuase you set up that whole scne and provoked a reaction, you were creaming your pants anticipating a conflict. You practically pulled out your dick and started beating off when Buzz fled the scene.

BTW Sirbel, your big on yelling how Buzz won’t swear because you think he’s lying? Why don’t you tell the world about Edgar Mitchel, who did swear on your Bible? Kinda cut you off at the kness, didn’t he? That’s when you started getting more agressive I bet.

This shit’s gonna catch up with Sirbel someday, he got off easy. He better not file civil charges.

Shit. If anybody should be filing charges it’s Aldrin against Sibrel for harassment. Sibrel’s pulled garbage like this on Buzz before. If Buzz decides to file harassement charges against Sibrel (not saying I’ve heard he was thinking about it, just hypothetical) I’d show up in court wearing a cheerleader outfit with the NASA logo(I’m a guy by the way) and go off.

Gimme an “S!” For shithead!
Gimme an “I!” For idiotic!
Gimme a “B”! For bullshit!
Gimme an “R!” For rectal, where his head is!
Gimme an “E!” For extremely annoying!
Gimme a “U!” For uneducated!
Gimme an “L!” For loser!
What’s that add up to?! SIBREL! The stain on the underwear of science!
[Insert leg kick towards Sibrel with my package showing]

[sub]Yes I know there’s no U in Sibrel, but he’s got his facts so screwed up I had to squeeze in “uneducated” somewhere. Also I’m not normally this bad, but I’ve had a horrible day.[/sub]

I think Buzz just did what we all would have liked to have done. Maybe Sibrel will know better next time. You’d think he would have been convinced by that 2kg piece of green cheese that they brought back…

Damn. I was really looking forward to watching the trial on court tv. I have no doubt Sibrel would have come off looking like a fool on national television.
