My sister lives near Lincoln. It’s a nice city - the hill up to the cathedral’s gorgeous. Don’t know what the uni is like.
The rest of the of Lincolnshire is rather uneventful (“very flat” to misquote Noel Coward), but very atmospheric. I highly recommend the novel Waterland by Graham Swift, which is about the Fens.

This is my first official use of internet in Lincoln University. Yay!
I’ve been really busy, and somewhat intoxicated and I’ll be off soon to buy a kilt for the Freshers Ball. For anyone who doesn’t know Lincoln it is such a class place.
Well I’m sorta unpacked. I love the halls and my entire apartment are doing Forensics with me. We have to meet up sometime this week, go for a friendly drink and I’ll introduce you to the flatmates .
Just got back from gate crashing the freshers fair! Free stuff! Yay!

Well today I collected my Forensic Science gear, which does include the funny white overalls and cool fingerprint brushes. But tonight, pub quiz, 50p, free chips.
I think that’s all that needs to be said.

It wasn’t until I read “pub quiz, 50p, free chips” that I realized you were talking about Lincoln University in England. I was thinking you guys where both in Pennsylvania. And, yes, I now see there were numerous clues that should have led me in the right direction. In my defense, I was just writing a Wikipedia article about Thurgood Marshall yesterday.
