Fuck. I’ve known her for years. We used to go to Jonathan’s parties together. Hell she made me my Dee Snyder costume one year. She used to come over to my house every week or so for a year or two and we’d watch the strangest movies. We used to take her son to the movies.
I hadn’t seen her in a couple of years, but we talked every once and awhile. I just talked to her in December.
God damnit, fuck.
I didn’t really know her but knew of her, like so many of us here on the Board.
My condolences to her family and especially to her son. 
I’d never seen that before. That is mindblowingly good.
And now I can’t tell her that.

I have known Katherine longer than my husband. I will miss her terribly. I have never known anyone so talented or so messed up.

I didn’t know her that well either, but over 10 years on a message board together, you get that familiarity. I met her once in NYC at a Dopefest. She seemed like a fun person.
Poor girl. May she rest in peace.

I always enjoyed Opal’s presence on the Boards, and even played around on Google Hangout with her a couple of times when it first launched. She was a cool cat. She’ll be missed.

I never had much interaction with Opal but I always liked her tho I was amused by the ‘Buckeyes’ flurry for a while. God bless you and grant you peace & rest in the Love of Christ.
Very sad. Though I didn’t know her personally, I knew her in the SDMB way. It will be nice to remember her always in our lists.

She was truly an integral part of this community. My sympathies to her family and friends.
Opalcat and I never mixed it up too much but as others have said, she certainly was a fixture on the boards. I’m sorry her life ended so quickly. I hope Dominic is doing OK.

This is the part where I say, “but she was so young!” Because she was. My age, maybe younger. Holy crap. I can only hope it was relatively painless, whatever happened.
She was a good egg, and we had some good times together. I’ll never forget playing with Dominic all those years ago. Great kid.

I don’t remember going with you, sorry, but do remember going to see Jethro Tull. That was a fun time. She ended up making me a couple of CDs of theirs. Thanks for the reminder.
