What a waste.
I met Opal at a Dopefest August 19, 2006. I can be sure of the date as it’s also the same day and time (roughly) I met my husband Tripler. She was a Doper legend already.
She thought deeply, felt deeply, reacted strongly. Dominic was her longest-developed ‘creation’ but I hope now and always he’ll look back on his mother’s art fondly. May her family and friends find peace.

I just found out through Facebook. I haven’t been to the boards in a while, either, and like Hal Briston, I hadn’t seen Opal since danceswithcats’ funeral. She was one of the first people I met in person from the boards and someone I’ll always associate with so many online worlds. I hope Dominic is holding up well.
