It seems the BYU Women’s Rugby team is amongst the best in the country. THey may get through to the Round of 16, but cannot go any further. Their (potential) Round of Eight game is scheduled for a Sunday.
The team is made up of Mormons who cannot play on a Sunday.
USA Rugby simply screwed up with their scheduling, and now it is too late. Nobody is threatening a lawsuit or anything. Just a dumb mistake.
Bummer for the young ladies. No real debate, but most religious stuff seems to spark debate nowadays
