Just scanning the top page I see: three football threads, a phone book thread, an Escalade thread, two work sucks threads, one about “cow-orkers”, and one about supermarkets. Sure this OP is lame, but it’s not nearly as lame as the Pit average. But when I go after one of your precious mods all the sycophants crawl out from the woodwork.

Yes, but it’s been a few decades. I must admit my inspiration was more Looney Tunes than literary. The image of an offending poster reduced to a smoking pair of sneakers is a pleasant one.
Oh, and Carnick? Take a lesson from Wile E. Coyote - when you’ve dug yourself a hole, it’s a good idea to stop digging. A lamer-than-lame attempt at a riposte does not impress anyone. By opening a Pit thread, you are asking for opinions from the entire SDMB. I offered mine. The general opinion so far has been that your OP was incredibly lame, and that you are a dipshit. I do not believe that the general opinion is likely to shift, especially considering the continued childishness of your responses. You certainly need to grow a much thicker skin if you are going to play around in the Pit.
I was mere offering some advice which would have been to your benefit. Take it or leave it, I don’t particularly care. If you don’t - and it’s pretty obvious at this point you are too dense to understand the extent of your mistake - I am certain there will be some entertainment to be had in seeing ridicule heaped on someone who evidently deserves it so well.

Sure, most people wouldn’t even bother starting threads on such a painfully trivial and unimportant pet peeve, figuring that a lame, weak-ass, should-have-died-on-the-table, couldn’t-be-less-important complaint of this degree of suckitude won’t be worth the time to read let alone write. Yes, I pretty much conceded that my OP was petty a few posts ago. Petty just like, oh, most or all of the OP’s here. The difference is I pitted a mod. Dex is a big boy, he can take a gentle bash. He responded well to my OP, and although he probably appreciates it, he doesn’t need his lap dogs to defend his honor.
Finally, some support! I was starting to get depressed. I think I’ll start a cow-orker thread next to get some sympathy points. Then everyone can respond with “Oh Carnick, how do you deal with those bastards?” Then I’ll feel good inside.

Except you evidently expected some kind of agreement with your OP. You obviously didn’t expect it to come back and bite you on the ass the way it has. Now you are whining because the thread didn’t go the way you expected it to. One doesn’t have to be a “lap dog” of the administration to disagree when a moderator is pitted for some completely trivial perceived offense. If you are going to be a crybaby when people disagree with you in the pit, you really should stay out of it.
