So I’m beginning to fear demons in the electrical systems of my house. I wake up every Wednesday morning to find my cable box turned off. This has been going on for at least 2 months now, but only on Wednesdays. My mother is apparently experiencing the same phenomenon. We both have Tivos so that could definitely be a cause, but it only happens on Wednesday. The boxes never turn themselves off any other day. Anyone have any ideas?

Same cable system? If so, ask around your neighbors, if it’s happening to them as well, I’d guess that it’s a system wide reset that’s occuring. Perhaps for regular maintenance of some type directed from your cable system.
