My Maine Coon, Caesar, recently turned one. She is no longer tiny, but she is still adorable.
She’s an indoor cat 95% of the time, but I let her go in the backyard on occasion. It’s a fenced-in yard, and she’s always supervised. I decided to take a few pictures of her latest venture outdoors.
(The Internet isn’t completely saturated with cat pics yet, is it? It is? Too bad. I’m forcing you to see these ones anyway.)
What a purty! My mom has a black Maine Coon, and the breed is just gorgeous. He’s freaking enormous and gloaming with fur. He’s very hands-off, unfortunately, since he wasn’t properly socialized as a kitten (she got him just before her appendectomy, so she didn’t have the ability to bend down and pick him up as much as she should). But he loves to be petted with feet. He’ll let you pick him up and flip him into somersaults with your feet, but approach with your hand and he runs away. Weirdest damn thing.
If I lived in a cooler climate, I’d probably get a Maine Coon. No offense to Caesar, but I’d probably get a black one…I have a weakness for black kitties, and I’m delighted to see a black kitty in this thread too.
