Now Herman Cain is saying “I don’t even know who this woman is.” :dubious:
Also from the Times story:
I guess that worked about as well as any of Cain’s stories to this point.
Mr. Cain is starting a whisper campaign saying that she actually fell off of a donkey, in Tijuana…
“Your Honor, my client never touched the automobile in question. And it was already damaged when he took possession of it. And it was in perfect condition when he returned it.”
Maybe there is something to this Mormonism thing after all. Herman Cain’s meltdown over the sex scandal seems to have been temporarily pushed off the front page… by ex-contender Rick Perry being unable to count to three during a debate. And they’re debating again Saturday.
Cain has a Clarence Thomas problem.
From that link:
Y’know, I have to give him credit, that’s about the best response he could have made to that. It would have been remarkably stupid for him to bring up Hill, but given that a reporter brought it up, a light joke like that was pretty politically apt.
You can’t tell for sure, but I don’t think that guy was a reporter. And yes, joking about Anita Hill is about what you would expect from a guy who was accused of sexual harrassing several women and still thought it would be a good idea to make a demeaning comment about Nancy Pelosi during a televised debate.
You’re both assuming he recognized the name.
Unless the questioner was a plant from the campaign, I still say that was the best response he had available. It was even a pretty smart response if he didn’t recognize the name, since it deflects away from his non-recognition, if that’s the case.
He should have said, “Hi, Opal!”
Will said this weekend ,that if there are 4, there are likely 24. How many bosses have had 4 actionable complaints by women workers.
CNN just released the results of their latest poll of the GOP candidates. Cain’s support has dropped from 25% in the October poll, to 14% in this poll. Comparing the October results to the November results:
Candidate / October / November
Romney 26% / 24%
Cain 25% / 14%
Gingrich 8% / 22%
Perry 14% / 13%
Paul 9% / 8%
Bachmann 6% / 6%
Huntsman 1% / 3%
Santorum 2% / 3%
Cain now has a Rick Perry problem.
'Woot!
Gingrich is the new “Anyone But Romney” candidate again!
Watch out for Huntsman. He made the best percentage improvement (66%) of all the candidates.
And it’s no wonder with this performance.
The video is absolutely painful to watch.
Anybody backing Cain would have to be delusional. Be has been a very poor candidate from the first day. He has stumbled in debates, has pushed a dumb 9-9-9 idea and has shown himself to be non presidential . His treatment of women just indicates what kind of person he is. He has been an embarrassment.
Gingrich is next up in the parade of clowns, but seriously? He’s going to do exactly the same stuff as Cain, only not quite as hilariously, I think.
Unless Huntsman or Paul does something totally unexpected, I expect to see Gingrich crash-and-burn and Romney to shake both fists above his head, having successfully defeated all challengers.
And the only way I can imagine Hunstman or Paul making it is for them to radically change the voters in the Republican party, to find some way to convince a huge chunk of moderates to join the voting in this traditionally hyperpartisan contest.
GOP Frontrunner–Now with New Improved Gingrich!! 75% more Pomposity than with Cain or Perry! Still Non-Romney!!
