She might run. Is America ready for a gold medal winner in the Senate?
Initially I thought “Where’s she from? California? OK, they might possibly be ready for a transgender Senator”. Then I read that, if she runs, she will do so as a Republican. Good luck with that.
California has to be smarter than that.
Might win if she ran in Kansas, Idaho, Wyoming or other very red states.
Exactly. Arnold won the governorship, but he had cross-party appeal. CJ is not Arnold, so not a chance of winning.
Never mind that, if she got to the Senate, where would she pee?
She should just GO AWAY. That entire family is just a bunch of attention whores.
Ehh. We already had one.
They will relabel the restrooms to Republican and Democrat and force her to use the latter…
Oh HELL no.
Agree 100%.
Possibly dumb question: would it be schaudenfreud-ishly interesting if she ran, because the majority of her political views align with the views usually held by people who are utterly scandalized by the idea of transgender people? Would those of us from a different part of the political spectrum be able to enjoy watching people squirm as they were forced to come to grips with the fact that CJ was saying what they believed in, except for that one thing…?
.
Log Cabin Republicans come to mind here.
What makes you say that?
Are you blissfully unaware of the Kardashians? :dubious:
I had been blissfully unaware that Jenner was related to them. Ignorance fought, I guess.
He was married to Kris Kardashian (the mother) and was on their show for a long time.
She has no business running for public office because she is, in my opinion, unqualified and probably needs to work through a few more of her personal issues first.
She wants public office? Start with “dog-catcher” and work her way up the ladder so she has actual experience and qualifications.
Also, unfortunately, she’d be seen as the face of the transgender folks and I just don’t think she’s a representative example of that category.
Most Democrats would find her politics unacceptable, and most Republicans would find her identity unacceptable. Who, exactly, would be voting for her?
Even in California, you can find plenty of Republicans who’d beat her in a primary.
It would never work - Jenner would switch parties in mid-race.
Or set up a new party - the Anti-Trump party. Our motto: “Let’s see you grab THIS by the pussy!”
