I don’t know any Olympians. You are all trolls. Or I hang out in the wrong places.
Heard of Mark Spitz? Well, so have I.
And I used have as a client a big time track and field dude. His first name was Carl, but I can’t remember his last name.
ETA: Lewis. Carl Lewis. Google loves me, this I know.
Only misfortune prevented me from competing for Australia in several Olympic Games. Unluckily for me I was just no bloody good.
Carl Lewis was the fastest man on earth for a while. He was the Usain Bolt of the 1990s.
Not so fast. I certainly don’t know, or have ever met, one of these so-called “Olympians”. OK, sure, I’ve seen these “Olympics” on TV, but I see lots of things on TV that turn out not to be true.
OTOH, our supply chain manager apparently played pro basketball in Europe for a year or two. That’s pretty much all I’ve got.
My current boss’s boss’s boss is a former Olympic rower. Came 4th in Seoul (1988) and 7th in Barcelona (1992).
He’s also quite, quite tall.
I don’t really get the outrage in fake accounts, unless you’re suckered into telling someone something you wouldn’t tell their real accounts. If he is mildly interesting I’ll talk to him like a normal person. I couldn’t care less if he is a duplicate account or not. Seems not worth getting worked up over
Which would have been a really weird nickname back then…
Hell, I’m even an ex-Olympian, and I’m fat as hell…
Having been invovled with Chow’s Gymnastics I know both Shawn Johnson and Gabby Douglas, as well as probably a couple future Olympians.
Given to him by a lanky man in suspenders and a fez.
Ok so i thought of this website today, and decided to read the thread i started, and so tried looking for it.
I am not an expert on navigating the site, so i decided to use the search feature.
I also wanted to narrow my results down, so i thought of a keyword that would bring me the results i wanted.
I knew that i had done a similar search in the past, and not gotten the results i wanted. So today i decided to narrow my results even further and chose the word “Olympian”
That search brought me to THIS thread, started by whomever (i dont often read the usernames to posts)
I read the first couple of posts, maybe the first 10 and then decided to reply myself.
Just thought id explain the entire process, as im sure my replying to this thread will arouse more “skepticism”…
“hmmm i ran a search on the site, and noticed how he replied to this thread before replying in the thread that HE started”…
yes how odd… but now you know.
Yes i am who i claim to be. And no its not so surprising, because as many have pointed out, i am a normal guy to a large extent just like many of you.
I am going to start a new thread. And try to update it whenever i remember. It will just be an update on what my life is like. Basically a day in the training of an average (maybe not so average) Olympian.
