Call of Duty: Black Ops

Yeah, it looks to me like it would be cataloged as a “multi-kill”, which is just more than one kill in quick succession. It doesn’t look from my POV like it was the same bullet that killed them, just the same burst.

The names appear on the killfeed in the same instant. The “Phht” sound (denoting a kill) happens only once. These two things suggest to me that it was only one of the bullets within the burst that actually killed both players. Perhaps other bullets wounded them, but everything suggests that it was the same single bullet that finished both players off. If it had been different bullets for each person the slow motion portion of the video would have widened any gap between kill indicators. There was no gap.

Can you get a little closer to the bullet(s)? We can dissect this thing better than the Zapruder Film.

I don’t think the visual representation of the bullets are any good as indicators of actual hits (none of those white lines went through anyone’s head during the clip) especially when you consider that this is theatre mode, so the timings are off. But I’ll go have another look in theatre mode, if I still have the game in my list.
On a separate note. I’ve uploaded another short clip.

Actually felt a bit sorry for that guy. I know how it feels to have that happen to me :frowning:

Hope you feel bad about that. He just went and kicked his dog after that game.

Last night, Xbox 360 #2 died on me! WTF, I only bought it in January! Granted, it was a used system, but seriously? Good thing I bought the warranty on it, I was able to replace it for free.

I don’t feel sorry for him. He clearly never took the three seconds to watch the killcam and figure out a better approach. And running around a corner with a claymore in his hands? Unforgivable.

Very fun clip though. I wish I could get some of my PS3 clips onto youtube.

Why do you use rolling thunder as your ‘8’ killstreak? I average about two kills with it (when it comes in a care package), and never get more than four. Whereas I average something like four kills from my blackbird, and it increases k/d for everyone on my team.

He plays FFA exclusively for one, so raising the scores of his opponents isn’t noteworthy. Although, I will say that I think the Blackbird is the best killstreak in all of the Call of Duty games.

I use the Rolling Thunder simply to try it out. I got insane amounts of kills with it in combat training so I guess I assumed I could get a few kills in ‘real’ games. I guess I was wrong

I’ll pick something else.

Another game…

How ironic that I said ‘I’ll pick something else’ I had simply forgot to change it to something else before playing this game. I got four kills with it. It’s hard to predict what might have happened if I didn’t have the rolling thunder to use in that game but I think I probably wouldn’t have got four kills with whatever I chose. I was on the right map for it too (second to Nuketown, Firing Range represents almost guaranteed kills with Rolling Thunder)

Three kills with napalm too

This thread seems to be dying, so I’ll make this my last video post… unless the thread picks up again.

As an aside from the main point of the video, I noticed on the kill-feed that I apparently killed someone with what looks like a bucket! I am assuming I set a vehicle on fire previously and it finally blew up - killing the guy… but what’s with the bucket symbol?

Close. I’m pretty sure that’s the symbol for an exploding barrel. A car kill is an actual profile of a car. And anyway, I don’t think there are any cars on summit.

Isn’t there a gas tank you can blow up?

This is correct, that’s the symbol for an exploding barrel. I’m not sure, but I think you get the same symbol when you kill someone with a booby-trapped care package.

Nope, the booby-trapped care package killfeed symbol is a care package with a little red explosion behind it. Just went back to my file share (where I have a clip saved of me getting a triple kill with one of them :D) to confirm.

And I also ran around summit and confirmed: there are no cars. But I count four large exploding fuel tanks.

Damn, that’s pretty sweet. There’s almost nothing more satisfying than booby-trapping a care package.

That’s one of the finer things in Blops, that’s for sure.

Another vid… remarkably similar to the previous ffa vid…

Can’t imagine booby-trapping a care package to be as satisfying as…

When your claymore kills the guy that just killed you.

When a guy does the erratic bunnyhop-prone-bunnyhop bullshit and you still manage to kill him while standing almost still with your silenced SMG from a distance.

Double kills in free-for-all without using killstreaks.

To name just a few.

I find it more satisfying because it’s a combination of “I just stole your care package” and the surprise on your enemy’s part as they think “I can’t believe they didn’t take the package from us! I’m gonna take this Hind and completely annihilate y-BOOM!

So when you booby-trap the package do you also get to take what’s in the package?
If you die whilst or shortly after booby-trapping it does it stay booby-trapped?

Same question for hacked claymores.
And while I’m here, another vid…
