Calling All Authors, The Return

Um, if no-one else wants him, I seem to have a cage empty since the sad demise of Hiphop. Little, uh, limp, isn’t he? Seems to be snoring too…

Ah, Crunchy, it was me who mentioned the Dirk Gently feel. I also enjoy the working in of Pratchett’s Good Omens. Crowly, indeed. All things considered, I think you took us in a most excellent new direction. What I’m about to say I mean in a nice way: I was expecting contributions like you have been making ever since I joined up and posted to your Welcome Wagon.

Yay! Only one person stands between me and my next section…you know who you are.

Yondan has frogs - check his post. He brought one in, and now it’s brought its friends.

I will say one thing - frog-dipped beer is just not worth drinking.

Ooh, I’ll get you for that one, missy! I’m gonna give you such a cliff hanger!

And Crunchy, great job! Nice twist. Although you took the wind out of my sails a little bit, since my next chapter is going to involve somewhat demonic entities, as well…[/foreshadowing]

Really great Crunchy. If this is what you threw together, I’m wonderin’ what the one was like that got left on your work computer.

I didn’t know if anyone would get that reference, but yes, that’s where I got the name from. I was almost going to go as far as calling him Crawly, but I thought that’d be a bit much.

I’m not sure I get this… Are you saying you were expecting my caustic style from the Welcome Wagon and aren’t seeing it here, or that you are seeing the style from the Welcome Wagon, or … wait, I just felt something pop in my brain.

I need a lie down.

Well it didn’t have any demonic references, and I tried to logically move the plot forward somehow and offer or hint at explanations for the loose ends of why Scott felt so bad, what the point of the car was, what Gavin had to do with anything. I had a couple of notes written and a couple different versions depending which direction I wanted to try and head with it.

Then it all got erased. So I said to hell with it. I was gonna post here and say, “You know what people, I have to bail.” I was gonna site losing the notes and the layoffs and yada yada, but then the thought “to hell with it” popped in my head again, and I thought that that might be fun to play with, so there ya go.

Uh… guys? Just keeping the thread alive, so you all don’t forget about it. I really want us to finish the stories. :frowning:

Good… gawd. I just read Crunchy’s post. I have to follow THAT? Yikes.

::wracking brain for creative neuron::

Okay. ::rolling up sleeves:: Cover me, I’m going in.

Oh? Well how about this?

Ok, off to read new posts.

By the way, is anybody contacting the powers that be to remind them of the offer to run a special edition of TEEMINGS featuring our stories?

sigh
Okay, folks, I’m here again to plead for patience.

I did the next installment for group D last night at home, only to discover my floppy disk drive was broken, so I could not bring it in to work (where my net connection is) to post it. I’m going to have to redo it. I doubt I’ll have time today, but hopefully I’ll get to it tomorrow…

(Oh, and the dog ate my homework, too.)

Aww, poor Ferrous! I, the goddess RaCha’ar ::a chorus of angels sings as the holy name of RaCha’ar is spoken:: shall bless your next attempt at storytelling, that it might not come to such a bad end.

Ahem. ::rolls up sleeves and prepares to conduct the blessing o’er Ferrous::

[Charo]
Coochie coochie coochie!
[/Charo]

There, you’ve been blessed. Don’t worry, hon, we’ll wait for ya.

Okay, Sisters, Part 9 is up! Whew! What a great feeling to finally get done something you’ve been putting off for so long…

I didn’t actually cover as much as I had intended to, but the thing was getting too long. I’ll just have to leave it up to my groupmates to tie up the rest of the loose ends. (That’s you, bella!)
Um, and RaCha’ar…could I have another blessing?

Hey at least there’s the hint of a plot now. :stuck_out_tongue:

And you have tons of stuff to work with. There’s a horny demon, a man with no memory of how the demon got inside him, his friend who may or may not be in on it, the mysterious Gavin, how to get the demon out, do they get the demon out, is there a demon or is it all in Scott’s head, etc…

If all else fails, do what I did and just get goofy with it and make us say “Good… gawd. I just read bobkitty’s post. I have to follow THAT? Yikes.”

Sure thing, Ferrous! Coochiecoochiecoochie! Great post by the way – why did you need more blessings?

Ferrous–that was awesome! Joe coming across her in her burial gown? * Tres Creepy* I knew my faith in you was not misplaced. Now it’s on me to decide what young Morgan might have to say, hmmm… Well, I’m gonna need a few days, of course, but I’m thinking on it as we speak(–er, as I type anyway). That’s the hardest part about all this–I end up with fifty different ideas, each one heading in a different direction, and can’t bring myself to choose! Too much fun. Now I’m off to write. OK, not really–it’s only 9:30 and I’m stuck in the fiery pit of hell that is my cubicle until 5:00. I guess that means I’m off to think about writing while pretending to work.

RaCha’ar–how bout sending some of that coochie dust my way?
::bella realizing just how that sounds::

ewwwwww  Never mind, I’ll manage without it.

bella

No worries, Divine One. Just that the image of you doing the Charo shake over me was too much to resist!

bella, glad you liked it.

guys? Please don’t let this die. Unfinished stories make the baby Jesus cry. :frowning:

Y’know, the BJ must be one weepy kid, for all the things that make him cry…
I don’t know about the others, but I would very much like to see Group A finish our story. Who’s up, anyway? And has s/he had enough time? should we just move on?

Tretiak is up for us - there was a note earlier saying he’d get to it. I don’t know that I want to skip, if we can avoid it - his post is supposed to be the final one for our story.

I thought so. I concur; 'twould be best not to skip. But let us not lose the thread, either, so here’s a nudge, O Tretiak , wizard of words and teller of tales. Bring this story to its brave conclusion, and so let us all sleep peacefully for the first time in, lo, these many weeks.
