I was thinking about ballooning and peripheral activities and wondered where the place was one could most reliably launch straight up, i.e. the least windy. Any ideas?
One of the most popular ballooning places in North America is the area around Albuquerque, New Mexico. Clear, beautiful days are very common. And of course there’s the annual Balloon Fiesta.
Intel, which is based near Albuquerque, regularly enters a balloon in the various ballooning events around there. It’s called The Floating Point.
