Calvin and Hobbes: The Noodle incident?

Obviously, they will be interpreted as the Loki Hero of the Ford-GMC wars.

Look folks, I know all about the noodle incident.

And I’m not telling any of you about it! :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, we do know it involves an alien and a robot.

My cite.

[hijack] Knowing how Watterson felt about marketing his characters (He was against it) I can’t imagine he’s getting a nickle from any of those stickers. Can’t he sue their ass or something for design infringement? [/hijack]

Speaking of the noodle incident, I’m wondering if Guns 'N Roses borrowed this idea for naming their cover album “The Spaghetti Incident”?

Yes, he could sue a company that produced such things without his permission. However, Calvin decals, T shirts, and other infringing merchandise are mostly produced by individuals or local companies that just wouldn’t be worth suing. With the internet, an image can propagate very easily and anyone who has it can print out a decal.
On the main topic, another mention of the noodle incident comes when Calvin is assigned to write a short story as homework. He protests that’s he’s never produced any fiction, but Hobbes says that he “deserved a Pulitzer” for his explanation of the noodle incident. Thus, it must have been something where Calvin’s involvement could only be denied by some rather convoluted reasoning.
