A poll to predict how Cam Newton will perform in the NFL.
Newton would be better to pattern his QB play after Ben Roethlisberger, not Vince Young or Michael Vick. Sifting through the scouting reports on him, the real problems are that he would make only one read, and run if that was covered. If he commits to making many more reads before running, he’ll be scary to defend. Everything else, from learning to play under center and off-the-field issues, are of little concern compared to that.
I wish there was a poll option in between “inconsistent starter” and “pro-bowler.”
Seems like the poll is weighted towards low expectations.
Can’t find the “dead in freak rollercoaster accident” option, voted Pro Bowl.

Not a perennial Pro Bowler, but better than Vince Young. He’s a far better passer than Young ever was.
