Okay, what did I buy, and is there any history of similar objects.
Today in TJ-Max, I found this very strange thing. There was a tag on it that read:
Decorative Piece of Art
CAMEL FOOT SCRATCHER
Hand casted and crafted in India. Enlarged size of foot scratcher which were used in India during ancient times.
What it looks like. It is a crude cube shaped brass cage about 3 inches high and about 4 inches square. It has a solid top and bottom, and the sides are vertical bars about a quarter of an inch wide. There is no way to open the cage, and inside of the cage are 8 free moving half inch steel ball barings. Sitting on top of the cage is a squatting brass camel about 3 inches high.
Did a google search and came up with nothing. Anybody got any ideas?
