Cameo/Parkway Records

The entire catalog of Cameo and Parkway records is apparently controlled by Alan Klein. These labels originally issued most of the well-known recordings by Chubby Checker, Bobby Rydell, The Orlons, and ? & The Mysterians (96 tears).

But none of this music is legally available on CD because Mr. Klein refuses to license these songs.

Why?

As each year passes there are fewer and fewer people who know, care, or even recall most of this music. It seems like the time is NOW to market this stuff. Actually the time is probably already past, but does anyone know why Klein refuses to license the Cameo/Parkway catalog?
