Wayne Rogers was one of the original cast of MAS*H the TV series, alongside Alan Alda. Rogers left after a few seasons while Alda stayed for the whole run.

To me, Wayne Rogers and John C. McGinley favor a bit, they’d make a good father and son combo on the show, IMO.

Dr. Cox and Hawkeye Pierce are both smartasses. So I like the idea of Rogers alluding to MASH* and his departure from the show in a roundabout way without mentioning names or looking back fondly.

The rest is just my pitiful attempt to write a typical Dr. Cox tirade as a part of a theoretical storyline on the show.

I swear it made sense in my head when I wrote it, but that’s probably the only place where it would.

Okay. I knew Wayne Rogers was on MAS*H; I just couldn’t figure out what John McGinley had to do with that show. I don’t watch Scrubs, y’see.
