Idiot Dan didn’t want to register using his actual name as his “handle” (not that I’m planning on becoming unpopular here, or worse yet, banned). But I was so eager to start posting here that I didn’t pay very close attention when I was first registering. I tried to “undo” my registration after I submitted it, but it was too late. I also sent two e-mails to “webmaster@straightdope.com” on Saturday night, but I’ve yet to hear back from anyone.

I’d like to change my user name to “Dry” in lieu of my real name. If this can be done without deactivating my account and having to reregister, I’d obviously prefer to do that.

Can someone help me?
