Late 70’s early 80’s movie, one of those cheapo horror films that I can’t get enough of.
OK, here’s what I can remember.
This British couple are travelling along a country road, which is how all cheap British Horror movies made between 1958 and 1984 seem to start. If I ever get offered a job driving in England within 30 miles of a country road, you’d better believe that I’m going to be demanding serious hazard pay.
OK, so British couple, country road. Somehow, their car crashes and the husband is knocked cold. They wake up to find themselves in a creepy mansion with creepy people, and the wife undergoes some creepy ritual.
Then they go back to the city, and the wife starts acting weird. Oh, and she’s also pregnant. The husband walks in to find her eating something gross out of a bowl, and when he asks her what it is, she replies that it’s raw liver. I seem to remember her not acting too bent out of shape about it, and she’s starting to turn rather creepy herself.
The husband goes to the doctor and asks if what he experienced in the mansion might have been a dream. The doctor replies that it’s impossible, and his answer is something like when you’re knocked cold, you’re knocked cold.
OK, so the wife disappears or is taken. The husband somehow makes it back to that same stretch of road and starts trying to locate the creepy, creepy mansion. While he’s in the forest, he runs into this woodsman who offers to help him. They start wandering around.
The wife is in the creepy mansion, and it turns out that she’s about to give birth. It turns out that the creepy people are werewolves, and the wife is a werewolf, and she gives birth to a werewolf baby, dying in the process.
Cut to the husband and his brand new woodsman friend, and the friend just kind of turns around and kills the husband with an axe. The end.
I thought I’d throw it back out to my fellow horror movie fans. You helped me out in this thread, and I’m hoping to be lucky twice.
Thanks all.
