Can anyone identify these old car (airplane?) emblems?

This question was posted to another message board I belong to. No one there can figure out what they are.

So what do I do? I ask the Teeming Millions, of course!

I emailed my buddy Dave The Old Car Expert. Here’s his reply:

They’re '49/'50 Ford interior door trim. I know it’s wacky, but I’ll bet I’m right. Old Henry had died, so they got a bit goofy at the Ford plant and did all kinds of strange and avant-garde things; like, for instance, they started using independent front suspension (holy shit!), and this was only a few years after they abandoned mechanical brakes). The prevailing theory is that if Henry had lived another 10 years the company would have been out of business.
