Can anyone identify this film (opera related)?

I remember seeing it years ago on daytime television during the Christmas/summer holidays. That’s a dud ratings period, so it was probably a real C grade film.

It was about an aspiring young female opera singer. She gets her lucky break and makes her debut at some famous opera house (the Met in NY?). It’s a stunning success. Then she gets some sort of throat condition that prevents her from singing for a whole year. Finally she makes another triumphal comeback.

Any ideas?

Interrupted Melody?

It could well be the one. But my (possibly faulty) recollection is that the young singer in the film battled a throat condition, not polio.
