I am looking for a simple straightforward definition of “The Media Effects Model”.
I would be most appreciative if someone could find me a site which would give me a no nonsense definition, ie:
Unfortunately all web search engines have proven totally and utterly useless, instead providing me with critiques of said model without actually telling me what it is. Does anyone know? I would be really grateful.

I would guess that there’s more than one media effects “model” (there usually is). Your search will be a lot more fruitful if you google for “media effects theory” or “media effects theories” and select from those which model definition you are interested in. There are hundreds of hits for these.
