I used to frequent 3dfiles.com for rapid replies to all of my questions about computer problems, but they seem to have removed their bulletin board.
Do any of the “teeming millions” here know of a replacement forum for good, fast, and free tech help?

http://www.annoyances.org/ Has lotsa good info on fixing Windows platforms. There are a few good forums to spout your problems & tons of archived info.
This is more of an IMHO than a GQ, so I’ll move it.

Your sig is
Mann Slaughter
“Let’s DO this!”
He has the capacity to veer with every wind, or,
stubbornly, to insert himself into some fantastically
elaborated and irrational social institution only to
perish with it. [For Man is a] fickle, erratic, danger-
ous creature [whose] restless mind would try all
paths, all horrors, all betrayals… believe all things
and believe nothing… kill for shadowy ideas more
ferociously than other creatures kill for food, then,
in a generation or less, forget what bloody dream
had so oppressed him.

That’s just too long. To prevent wasting of bandwidth, we limit sigs to about four lines of text. Please shorten yours.

Pretty good turnaround time for answers.
The guy who runs the board is Larry Byard. A bit of a curmudgen - doesn’t like weird screen names, won’t tolerate cussing, etc., but he knows his stuff.
