Thinking about cleaning bathtub (a plastic type of tub, not enamel) with white vinegar and wonder if it can resist the acidity?
Put it this way - if your bathtub were damaged by a household cleaner like that, then that’s a sign that you have a terrible bathtub and need to get a new one. You’ll be fine.
Bleach is strongly biased in the opposite direction and people use that to clean. Just don’t mix vinegar with bleach.
Vinegar is safe. IMO.
Bathfitters recommends vinegar for their tubs
“An environmentally friendly solution of water and white vinegar will also do a great job of eliminating mildew on silicone, as well as being cost-effective.”
I had a tub for which either vinegar or baking soda was recommended for tub cleaning. I always used baking soda, for the abrasiveness, and it worked just fine.
You could probably use both if you have a stubborn spot, for the bubbling effect.
