Since it’s been almost 8 hours, I’ll go ahead and answer:
It can’t do that by itself, but perhaps because you can’t absorb the nutrients you need to make your mind work. This would be a bigger deal in the young and elderly.
Crohn’s disease is NOT known for causing significant neurologic problems.
It’s not impossible, and hypothetical mechanisms for the disease or its treatments causing such symptoms can be proposed, but that’s not where the smart money is.
If one has such concerns, one should consult one’s doctor.
It’s not me. I have enough problems. It’s some guy who’s making a nuisance of himself on my blog and his wife says he has Crohn’s, so I don’t know whether to feel sorry for him or find some way to block him from the blog.

It’s quite possibly the meds the guy is on. I dated a girl with colitis (the equally awful sister to Crohns) and her meds made her act in bizarre ways.
I imagine it could give one a pretty shitty attitude.
If so, this guy must be just drowning in shit. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for giving anyone the benefit of the doubt, or, if I know the circumstance, some sympathy, but this poor schmuck is drifting over the line so far, I’m going to have to take further steps.
My wife is very sick and I need to devote all my time and energy into making her better, so with the application I have already filled out for a warrant , I’m hoping he’ll realize it’s time to cut the shit.
Sorry. I don’t usually air shit like this here, but I’m sick of the harrassment here, on the blog and on the phone.
Thanks

If that’s the case, then it really doesn’t matter what the cause of his behavior is. His behavior is unacceptable and needs to stop. You are not in charge of getting him help. You have enough to deal with. Cut him off, block him, whatever you need to do, and let it go.
I can see the possible connection with a guy who has his head up his ass.
