Can I persuade Windows 7 to emulate WinXP?

My computer running WinXP gave up the ghost a few months ago, so I went to the Goodwill and picked up a nice box that runs Windows 7.

FTR, I have not been able to find the icon that’s supposed to allow me to claim a free upgrade to Windows 10, and from some of the reviews that Windows 10 has been getting around here, I’m not sure that I really care about that. But this paragraph is likely to be entirely unrelated to what I’m trying to learn.

When my WinXP operating system was running, I used to be able to use Ctrl + Alt + an arrow key to change the orientation of the display. That is, if I hit Ctrl + Alt + [down arrow], the display would rotate 180 degrees, and everything would be upside down. the left and right arrows would put the display sideways. This doesn’t seem to work with Windows 7, and I WANT THIS TOTALLY USELESS (but fun) FEATURE BACK!

Any techniques on how I can make my computer think it’s running on WinXP wrt this feature? TIA.

That was not a function of Windows XP. It was provided by the graphics card driver, probably an Intel graphics chip.
