Has anyone tried to use the Iphone’s voice notes app to record a lecture? How well has it worked?
I’ve not tried for lectures, but I have for meetings around a conference table.
It works, but I’d put it in the “Barely Adequate” range. The microphone really isn’t that sensitive, and is somewhat directional (which may be a benefit in a lecture hall).
By comparison, an old cassette walkman type clone from many a year ago is about 100 times better at the same conference table.
