I have posted on gamespot but they are all arguing about hte answer to this question.
I am pretty early in the game right now and I am at an area in Chozo Ruins where I need to find 4 runes in an area, scan them, and a big circle door will open up. There is green water everywhere that hurts you if you step in it.
I Can only find 3 runes. One under some mushrooms, one under the exit door, and one to the left of the entrance.
Anyone who is playing this know where the 4th one is?

Sorry haven’t played but you may want to check out Metroid Prime at GameFaqs. The walkthrough should have what your looking for.
Walkthroughs are great, but I Try to avoid them the first time thru a game. Once you see the guide its hard not to look at it.
I did figure it out though. I was just blind and couldn’t see what I was looking for.
Oh I know that all to well. I keep getting stuck checking them before I do anything. It really gets in the way of playing.
Well anyway, glad you figured it out.
Which room are you in? You have to do that several times in the ruins. Check your map and it will tell you the room’s specific name.
I found them all in both rooms now. I just couldn’t see the last one because I wasn’t looking in the right place (obviously).
Now I am at somesort of flower/dragon thing with a bunch of mirrors that shoot light at it. He has killed me 3 times now. 
If you want help:
Shoot him with a charged up beam shot, then shoot the mirrors that are shining light on him which will stun him. Make sure you shoot him with a charge shot in between each mirror to keep him stunned, otherwise he’ll knock the mirrors back down. After you knock down all the mirrors morph into the ball and roll down one of the tunnels that appears when he withdraws his roots and plant a bomb. Repeat. Also you’re going to want to come back to this room a little later in the game.
