Can Tivo work with Apple's Airport?

I have an Airport Extreme base station in my home and access my laptop wirelessly through it. I also have a Comcast Mortorla cable box and just bought a Tivo DVR. The Tivo requires that a phone line hooked up to it UNLESS you connect it wirelessly.

To do that, I bought a Linksys WUSB11 adapter and plugged it into the Tivo. No luck. It sees my home network, but entering password doesn’t do anything. In the Tivo set-up, should I be choosing the Linksys option or my home network.

Has anyone had any luck with such a configuration? I’ve spent hours on the phone with Tivo, but there not to Appl/Airport savvy.

Help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Did you do the initial setup through a phone line? The Tivo is cranky about connecting wirelessly until it’s connected once.

Yes. I hooke up fine through the phone line and am now trying to switch to wireless.

Any ideas?

my brother Bambi just made his TiVo wireless with the 802.11g netgear router I just bought…

I just made my powerbook wireless without buying airport extreme! the card I got is much more affordable…anyways, I’ll direct him to this thread
